The ByWire™ is a series of distributed drive-by-wire conversion modules that provide computer control of a vehicle’s control systems and auxiliary functions to quickly turn existing ground vehicle platforms into a remote controlled unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).
The ByWire features environmentally sealed, distributed computing modules and actuators for steering, throttle, braking and shifting, providing reliable and responsive functionality. The ByWire features open loop and closed loop control modes, which can be commanded through Ethernet, Serial / RS-232, or CAN interfaces. ByWire kits have been integrated onto a variety of platforms including Ackerman and skid-steer vehicles.
